In Book 16 of the Dresden Files series, nearly the entire supernatural world is descending on Chicago for the eponymous peace talks. Naturally, Harry Dresden is right in the middle of events--whether he wants to be or not. James Marsters's familiarity allows him to slip into character as the world-weary Dresden without a hitch. However, the audio production is hampered by inconsistent vocal choices and poor editing. Several character accents and tones do not match what was established in previous volumes of the series. In addition, noticeable edits and background noise have not been edited from the final product. Since this audio is half of a duology, one hopes the production will return to form next time.
