A WALK ALONG THE BEACH

Sandy Rustin and Roger Wayne, Jr., do an outstanding job narrating this touching story of family, loss, and love. Willa and Harper Lakey are two devoted sisters who are especially close after the death of their mother and Harper's recovery from cancer. When cancer strikes Harper again, Willa is overcome with disappointment in her boyfriend's priorities when she needs him most. Can she learn not to be afraid to love? Both narrators skillfully portray the sisters, their dad, and Willa's boyfriend, Sean, giving each character a distinct and recognizable voice. This book is written in memory of the author's best friend, who succumbed to cancer. Macomber's love and loss are reflected in the lovely story.
