Fans of thrillers will appreciate the second audiobook in the Deception Cover series. This story centers on an unlikely couple--ex-con Mason Burke and former U.S. Marine, now sheriff's deputy, Jess Winslow-- along with their dog, who plays an important part in the story. Fortunately for narrators Kevin Stillwell and Courtney Paterson, they aren't asked to bark or growl. Instead, they do a fine job alternately delivering each section of this mystery centered on the murder of a small-town tough guy who almost made it big.
