Sweet-voiced narrator Andi Arndt takes on this cozy mystery featuring murder, beautiful Vermont scenery, and lots of suspects. In her eighth adventure, Molly Appleby, a reporter for COLLECTOR'S WEEKLY, investigates the murder of rare book dealer Curtis Cobb during a party at the antique-filled Gordon manor house. While Arndt ably drops her voice to differentiate the male characters, making them sound gruff but approachable, she raises her voice at the end of most sentences, which is annoying. And while she creates unique accents for all the women, none of them reflect the story's New England setting, and she frequently loses track of them, returning to her own comfortable voice.
