STEPPING STONES Peapod Farm, Book 1

This full-cast production is the first installment in a dynamic, new graphic novel series. Lauren Fortgang portrays Jenn, an only child, who is upset about moving from New York City to the country, uncertain about her mother's boyfriend, and not excited about cleaning up after chickens. Her reluctance deepens with the caustic comments of her potential stepfather and the know-it-all attitude of his oldest daughter, portrayed by Patricia Samotomasso, and the brattiness of his younger daughter, portrayed by Kristen DiMercurio. Fortgang captures Jenn's misery when her failures are mocked. Just as strongly, the narrators eventually demonstrate the girls' transition to a collaborative sisterly spirit.
