EASY MONEY

Allie Kerry is a courier whose deliveries are sometimes legal, sometimes not. In this new assignment her latest contact is murdered--just after handing her a computer disk. Allie becomes increasingly aware that this delivery--with ties to the CIA, Vietnam and drugs--has made her a person wanted both by the law and those outside it. Despite lots of action and danger, and a great narrator, this story remains curiously uninvolving because it's difficult to identify and sympathize with Allie. The passionate narration by Alyssa Bresnahan cannot be faulted, as she captures every nuance of emotion and creates credible characters vocally.
