THE EDGE

by | Read by Robert Lawrence

Mystery & Suspense • 10 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1999

FBI agent Ford MacDougal heads across country after a sudden telepathic connection with his sister warns him of her peril. His search leads him from the coast of Oregon to the rain forests of Costa Rica and back. Reader Robert Lawrence delivers the text in a manner well suited to its style. His pacing is good, but some of his vocalizations are stretched. The voice of MacDougal's sister, when we are privy to her thoughts, is done by an unidentified female reader and is a welcome relief from the uncomfortable falsetto Lawrence uses for some of the other women characters. Musical punctuations on each side of each tape are another welcome part of the production. J.J.F. © AudioFile, Portland, Maine [Published: DEC/JAN 00]
