Salvatori Nervi is assassinated by Lily Mansfield, rogue CIA assassin who has become a contract killer. Lily is hunted both by Nervi’s sons, who seek revenge, and by Lucas Swain, a cocky CIA field operative sent to “terminate” her. But Lily and Swain uncover a diabolical plot that refocuses their energies. Dick Hill and Joyce Bean breathe life into this tortuous plot, complete with betrayal, double-dealing informants, and searing sex. Hill’s sonorous voice switches from French to Italian with ease; as the American Swain, he delivers a Southern drawl that expresses ample machismo. Bean’s French accent is crisp and clear while her American accent, warm and universal, imbues Lily with compassion.
