CHRISTMAS IN EVERGREEN: TIDINGS OF JOY

The joy in narrator Kathleen McInerney's voice could power the sun--let alone the merry Christmas traditions in fan-favorite Evergreen, Vermont. This Hallmark movie-inspired story features Christmas activities that might be preserved in a fifty-year-old time capsule. McInerney's rounded, ringing tones perfectly express the glee of making snowmen, ice skating, and cookie baking. The velvety edge to her voice is comfortingly warm as the story brings together Katie, a journalist, and Ben, an Evergreen resident, as they enjoy seasonal sightseeing. Katie sounds delighted and curious, while Ben carefully expresses his admiration. The jolly townspeople are well differentiated in conversations. McInerney handles the story's small calamities with appropriate regret, always pivoting back to Naigle's message of love and kindness.
