Christine Williams gives a compelling and affecting narration of this #disabilityawareness novel. Simone is a young woman who has recently been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Williams perfectly captures her apprehensions and confusion, making her concerns palpable. Simone has a loving family and a supportive best friend, Nikki. Nonetheless, a difficult road lies ahead. Williams powerfully delivers this complex story and presents the multidimensional characters with nuance and depth. The narrative has multiple storylines, and Williams keeps listeners on track as the plotlines slowly converge. She beautifully presents Simone's tender but occasionally bumpy romance with the endearing Connor and quickens her pace as she reveals the terrifying events of a shooting at the university where Simone and Nikki work.
