THE SINFUL LIFE OF LUCY BURNS

Narrator Corinthia Soukup provides the perfect voice for this quirky novel. Listeners hear about the dilemma of Lucy Burns, who, as a child, writes a letter "to whom it may concern" in order to save the life of her sister. Later she discovers she has struck a deal with the devil. In return for his help, she must assume the role of a facilitator for hell. A significant drawback to the deal is that she must stay forever single, so she needs to find a way to break the agreement. Soukup creates a wonderfully funny and likable heroine in Lucy and brings the rest of the key characters alive with style.
