THE SECRET WITHIN

This complex mystery offers moments of stomach-churning anxiety as it presents the evil a female physician encounters in our male-dominated medical system. Narrators Sarah Lambie and Philip Stevens offer full-bodied performances of talented surgeon Julia; irresistibly gorgeous but sinister plastic surgeon Nathan; Julia's drunken ex, Dom; her colleague, Hamish; and more. At her previous hospital Julia reported the subpar surgical work of a male colleague, which resulted in her reputation being ruined, while his remained untouched. After relocating with her husband and kids, Julia once more finds work as a surgeon. Colleagues Hamish and Nathan have hired Julia because they have a nasty secret and believe she won't report them in order to avoid another scandal. Each actor is spot-on with attitude and nuance.
