IVY

Carmen Viviano Crafts and a full cast of narrators deliver a whimsical fantasy in which humans interact with real and mythical animals. Ivy and her grandmother live on the edge of a tidy town called Broomsweep, where they have an untidy garden full of unruly creatures who need tending. When a contest for the best town in the kingdom is announced, the mayor's wife, Mrs. Peevish, is determined to win, even if it means forcing out an injured griffin, a congested dragon, and flock of pixies. While children may find the performances enjoyable, especially that of young Haley Grogan as Ivy, adults may find the portrayals of the characters to be stereotypical and overly dramatic.
