Her inflections, tone, and nuanced pace complement author Tinto's dialogue. She also excels in her ability to define characters, with her depictions of Jack Hobson and Leah Andrews--the pair the president wants to kill--being particularly memorable. The most remarkable parts of this thriller are the scenes featuring Native American cliff dwellers whose centuries-long history becomes critical to answering the story's underlying questions.
