Listeners join sisters Imogen and Beck, who, along with high school friend Tilda, decide to go on a bonding hike in the Grand Canyon. They are expecting a tough yet rewarding adventure; however, when they realize they are not alone, the experience becomes a lot tougher than they bargained for. Brittany Pressley narrates with aplomb. She creates three very different characters, in particular bringing out the toughness of Beck and the vulnerability of Imogen, as well as creating a believable troubled villain in Gale. Pressley's characterizations are especially strong during the many scenes of dialogue. Her skill helps listeners differentiate the women as they battle to save their lives and their friendship.
