This audiobook is a retelling of the Arthurian legend from the point of view of Elaine, the Lady of Shallot. Narrator Ell Potter presents Elaine as a young, innocent woman who is at the mercy of her visions of the past and the future. Her relationships with friends Arthur, Morgana, Guinevere, and Lancelot are at the core of the tale. They're fiercely loyal to each other, and Potter projects Elaine's hope for a happy ending despite their disagreements and betrayals. Potter uses only small differences in the voices of the major characters, an approach that is consistent with the story's point of view.
