MALICE IN MIAMI

Narrator Fay Annette portrays Jamie Quinn, a Florida lawyer, and the spirited family members, friends, and associates who are once again featured in this series. When she is accused of art theft, Quinn closes her law practice and begins to learn the finer points of art, including forgery. It's enjoyable to spend more time with Quinn's fiancé, Kip Simons, who is back from Australia and appealingly portrayed as he tackles the python problem in the Everglades. Annette shines as Quinn's vivacious friend, Grace Anderson, and as PI Marmaduke Broussard, whom Annette gives a cocky tone and Louisiana accent. Despite Broussard's easygoing manner, he always delivers the goods. Quirky but true Florida tidbits (some hilarious) and lesser known art history details make for enjoyable and informative listening.
