Samuel Roukin splendidly narrates Dugard's history of the Nazis' occupation of Paris. The title is a bit misleading. While the focus is on Paris, the work also goes into the interactions between French, British, and American leaders. In addition, it includes events outside of France, such as the fighting by the Free French forces at the Battle of Bir Hakim against the vaunted Afrika Korps in the late spring of 1942. Roukin has a steady delivery throughout the production, and he provides a wide variety of credible accents and unique voices for the many heroic people quoted in this work.
