Narrators Mia Madison and Oliver Clarke join forces to bring to life the romance between Alice Darlington, ghost whisperer, and Hunter Evans, who has just been turned into a vampire. Hunter encounters Alice while she is rescuing a raccoon, and he is immediately drawn to her. Evil forces are after both Alice and Hunter, and Madison and Clarke bring tones of menace to their performances. Both narrators provide a good contrast between the glamorous, sophisticated vampire and naïve Alice, who spent much of her young life trapped in an institution. Madison and Clarke work well together as they express emotions ranging from Hunter's fear of becoming a monster to a pirate ghost's arrogance in seeking Alice's help to find treasure.
