This audiobook's narration by Ryan West captures the best and worst of the Torpedo Ink motorcycle club's sadist hero, Savage. Some months after the events in ANNIHILATION ROAD (Book 6), Savage and Seychelle are navigating rough waters in their relationship. They share the same psychic power to influence others, and this causes them to butt heads while learning to respect each other. In addition, Savage is suspected of murder, a situation that makes everything even more tense. West excels at portraying polarized characters who are trying to reach common ground. Romance scenes are intense but don't overshadow compassionate character development. It's best to listen to the predecessor in this series for more context.
