Actor and acclaimed narrator Robert Ian Mackenzie presents these likable Scots and tells their stories effectively in his deep, throaty voice. His portrayal of Angus Lordy is one of his best. Listeners hear Angus's observations on fashion, overscheduled children, art trends, and more--all expressed with wry humor and a comprehensible Scottish accent. Mackenzie's rendering of the precocious 8-year-old Bertie is believable and endearing. This is feel-good listening with droll humor and a skillful presentation.
