Narrators Samantha Cook and Jason Clarke use their talents to tell the story of the romance between Aurora Kingston and Nick Dare. Five years ago, Aurora and Nick had a one-night encounter, which resulted in a daughter named Leah. No last names were exchanged, so Aurora had no way of contacting Nick. Cook elicits all the shock Aurora feels when she unexpectedly encounters him five years later. It turns out he has never forgotten her. Clarke expresses all of Nick's suppressed passion for Aurora and his delight at finding himself a father. Both narrators give a light, juvenile voice to Leah.
