Sheh effectively differentiates the many male and female characters of varying ages and ethnic backgrounds. But sadly, while the voice Sheh uses for Yee matches the character, it has an irritating nasal quality. Practical, tech-resistant Yee partners with her glamourous cousin, Celine, who is visiting from Hong Kong, to solve the murder of a customer of the market stall the two were managing. Listeners will gain insight into the cultures and foods that are central to the story. Recipes are included at the end, including one for bubble tea.
