SIGNAL MOON A Short Story

The touch of fantasy interjected into this compelling audiobook is a unique departure from author Kate Quinn's usual historical fiction. Gifted narrator Saskia Maarleveld portrays a member of the British Women's Royal Naval Service (WREN) who is monitoring radio transmissions from Nazi ships in 1943. Andrew Gibson portrays an American radio operator who is sending out a distress signal after a Russian attack in 2023.They communicate with each other over an eighty-year time divide. The narrators make the characters so real that listeners can suspend disbelief and feel their tension, grit, and cleverness. Both narrators display considerable linguistic talent as they portray these heroes with warmth and bravado. D.L.G.
