STRICTLY MURDER Whitstable Pearl, Book 8

Narrator Jennifer Kirby transports listeners to Whitstable in southeastern England to join Pearl, restaurateur and part-time detective. Currently, she is balancing her investigation into the disappearance of a local councilor's wife's underwear with help from police officer Mike McGuire. He is also investigating a gruesome murder at the local dance school. Kirby uses her talent as a narrator to characterize the extensive cast of larger-than-life characters. Notably, she creates a likable and hardworking Pearl and a wonderfully eccentric Dolly, Pearl's mother. As Mike, she injects just the right amount of world-weariness into her voice.
