Jennifer Jill Araya narrates an intricate family drama brimming with secrets and the price paid to keep them. Sisters Liz and Meredith have found that the only thing they can rely on is each other--until Liz learns Meredith has been murdered. As she grapples with the ramifications of losing her sister, she discovers a series of mysteries that not only provide a motive, but also paint a much different picture of the sister she thought she knew. Araya maintains a steady narration throughout, which occasionally plays against the ominous tension building in the story. She shines when voicing Liz's thoughts and the narrative. Some of the characters' voices don't match the author's descriptions, but Araya stays focused on moving the story forward, making for a thrilling performance.
