PARTNERS IN CRIME

Soneela Nankani and Shahjehan Khan narrate a madcap romantic heist. Mira Patel and Naveen Desai never thought they would see each other again after breaking up. But they find themselves seizing an unconventional second chance when they're kidnapped and forced to search for a diamond necklace. The different approaches Nankani and Khan take to narrating suit the two main characters: Nankani is animated and energetic, qualities Mira uses to shield her true inner self, while Khan's restraint suits Naveen, who buries his feelings behind seeming impassivity. As the stakes in their Vegas caper rise, the barriers between them crack, and the performances of both narrators reach an equivalent emotional pitch before the surprising conclusion.
