DEATH IN HEELS Dublin Drag, Book 1

Ell Potter portrays the queens who work at the drag club Trash. Among them are feisty and faithful Fiona "Fi" McKinnery and unpredictable, spoiled Mae B, who have been friends since childhood. Learning about the preferred terms for the queens, as well as the extraordinary effort they put into their body shaping and costumes, is interesting. Particularly well rendered by Potter are their loving and supportive family members. After the questionable suicide of Eve, only Fi seriously suspects murder, and she attempts to uncover the killer. Potter skillfully moves from snarky tones to delight and apprehension. She flawlessly renders this memorable story and its characters.
