In the second installment in the Pies Before Guys mysteries, Tanya Eby deftly portrays Daisy Ellery, a baker with a magical touch at making pies. As Daisy participates in a two-week cooking competition, her sleuthing talents are challenged, as well as her baking skills. In the first audiobook she inadvertently caused someone else's demise; this time she sniffs out a killer. Though there are a large number of characters, Eby infuses enough variation into her voice to allow listeners to discern all of them easily.
