Tegan Ashton Cohan narrates a second-chance romance. Forced by her boss to compete against a co-worker for a coveted promotion, Lana Parker has to decide what's most important: her career or her heart. Lana should be easy to dismiss as a spoiled and privileged millennial, but Cohan's portrayal gives her unabashedly dorky depth and shows how she sabotages success in pursuing her dreams. Seth is a bit enigmatic, but Cohan portrays him as a complete person, rather than a caricature of a bad ex-boyfriend. The most complicated character is Lana's contradictory boss, Natasha, whom Cohan portrays as an approachable and friendly authority figure who ignores boundaries and is impossible to say no to.
