INTERGALACTIC EXTERMINATORS, INC

This sci-fi includes a strange extraterrestrial artifact found in Grandpa's back room, as well as bird rats, giant insects, alien terrascapes, and, would you believe, a little romance. Scott Brick and Suzanne Elise Freeman bring grounded ease and a naturalistic feel to this comic-adventure mash-up of two small-town 20-somethings who will do just about anything to find steady jobs, including entering a competition to become intergalactic pest exterminators. There's plenty of tech talk dealing with starships and weapons. And Brick and Freeman shine in finding the dramatic tension in the characters' searches to save the family bookstore and a beloved relative.
