Antony Ferguson transports listeners to London in late 1983 for a mystery involving a mummy, a giant ruby, and a murder. Phillip Addison, a quirky mummy fanatic, is a volunteer researcher at the British Museum. Phillip believes that one of the museum's mummies is Cleopatra; his theory is fueled by the giant heart-shaped ruby in the mummy's chest. One day, when Phillip doesn't return home as usual, his wife hires the unconventional Detective Cyrus Barker and his partner, Thomas Llewelyn, to find him. Ferguson delivers posh English accents and Cockney slang with personality for a cast of amusing characters. The sharp writing and Ferguson's narration capture all the bizarre twists and turns.
