PIECES OF BLUE

Barrie Kreinik takes listeners to the paradise of Hawaii, where the setting is the only thing that appears to be tropical. Looking for a fresh start, Lindsey Hill buys a run-down Oahu motel sight unseen after tragically losing her husband in a surfing accident. Kreinik's performance at times struggles to keep the listener's attention due to multiple third-person points of view and the lack of inflection in her tone. However, Kreinik shines in delivering the various characters' dialogue, including a captivating Welsh accent from Lindsey, the adorable voices of her kids, and that of an amiable but mysterious man who helps the family refurbish the motel.
