MUCH ADO ABOUT NADA

With warmth and enthusiasm, Farah Kidwai narrates this contemporary romance inspired by Jane Austen's PERSUASION. The story concerns members of a South Asian Muslim community in present-day Canada. Thirty-something Nada, an engineer and app developer, is invited by her best friend, Haleema, to a Muslim dating convention, where she encounters Baz, her former love. Kidwai's pleasing voice and lively cadence draw listeners into this story, which explores the tension between the modern and the traditional in Muslim culture. Kidwai's accents and Arabic pronunciations are excellent. However, many characters sound similar.
