The irreverence of this over-the-top audiobook is not for the faint of heart, and Josh Innerst offers a narration to match the writing. The author's dark comedy focuses on four "baseball dads"--suburban fathers linked by their sons' baseball team. Through a variety of circumstances, one of the pals takes over the team. The quartet engages in debauchery at every turn--drugs and more drugs, sex with nymphomaniac wives, and, to top it off, murder. Every character, minor and major, has a clear personality, not to mention a unique voice that fits them perfectly. Innerst quickly shifts between accents, varying tones and inflections.
