Kim Bretton and Emma Fenney team up in this "fake dating" holiday-romance-turned-sapphic love story. The narrators alternate chapters told from the points of view of Bretton's warm, sensitive Margot and Fenney's passionate, impulsive Ellie. Freshly separated from her emotionally abusive girlfriend, Margot agrees to pose as the fake girlfriend of one of her big marketing clients at his family's English country-manor-turned-inn. Recently returned home, Ellie sees Margot as a gold digger and instantly dislikes her. Then, their initial disconnect turns into something else. Wonderful supporting characters bring additional color to the festive misunderstandings and the bustling family dynamic that surrounds the women's budding attraction.
