Thérèse Plummer narrates the stories of four women in various stages of their lives who have built a strong friendship together. Marnie is a single celebrity cook whose daughter Bella is pregnant. Working for Marnie is her friend Ellen and an intern, Sophia. Plummer depicts the emotional ups and downs of Bella's pregnancy. As Marnie becomes involved in a romance with Sophia's father, Plummer brings the giddiness of new love to her performance. Sophia is from Argentina, and Plummer provides just the slightest accent. When Sophia is terrorized by a possessive boyfriend, Plummer aptly verbalizes her fears. As Ellen finds a new relationship, Plummer voices her trepidation after years of being alone.
