THE HAVANA RUN A Short Story

by | Read by Timothy Andrés Pabon

Mystery & Suspense • 1.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2024

This fast-moving story is about a couple of ex-journalists who take on a "simple" job in Havana. Timothy Andrés Pabon perfectly fits his narration to the tone of the work. Coming in at a scant 85 minutes, the audio features clever dialogue between the journalists and their Cuban contacts. George and Joe are rightfully angry because they were laid off by their newspaper in a cost-cutting measure. That explains why they took on a sketchy job in Cuba for $10,000. Pabon performs the work quickly and efficiently but never sounds rushed. While the ending is not completely satisfactory, the story itself is interesting, and the journalism situations ring true.
