This captivating audiobook proves to be an unlikely but winning blend of humor and terror. Thank author Henry Neff for creating such an exotic cast of bizarre characters. But it's up to narrator Ramiz Monsef to bring those characters to life. This Monsef accomplishes magnificently with characters who range from Laszlo, a snarky 800-year-old demon, to Maggie, an earnest young woman from the sticks who is the latest bearer of the Drakeford Curse. The fun really begins when that duo, along with Maggie's stowaway younger brother, find themselves having only six days to break the curse. Monsef serves as a cheeky guide to the trio's travels around the globe as they seek out the necessary items for curse-breaking. Monsef's hilarious efforts make this a hoot of a horror story.
