Tom Parks does an excellent job delivering Todd McCracken's foreword. He is bright, breezy, and positive as he lays out Cynthia Kay's background and enthusiasm for the exciting journey to be found in creating a small business--from startup to eventual exit. The remainder of the treatise is, sadly, not as well performed. While Kay's role as a business consultant is clearly explained, her narration has a nasal timbre and is somewhat hurried. The work itself is understandable, well-researched, and articulate. Kay offers quick tips, such as having a stable of specialty project managers available to consult with. She also discusses the value a small business can find in working independently AND in conjunction with larger businesses. W.A.G. © AudioFile 2024, Portland, Maine [Published: JUNE 2024]
