Holly Chandler depicts the romance between wedding coordinator Mae Wallace and actor Kane August. Mae meets Kane when a film company uses the vineyard where she works as a movie set. Mae finds herself thrust together with Kane when she's needed to act as a stand-in for a missing actress. Kane is from Texas, and Chandler gives him a pleasant slight drawl. Mae was betrayed in the past, and Chandler successfully conveys her trepidation at getting involved with Kane. As the two grow closer, Chandler deepens her voice, adding to the passion that is growing between them. Chandler's masculine portrayal of Kane is a good counterbalance to Mae's femininity.
