Nankani's brisk, distinctly voiced performance is riveting as she expertly distinguishes among the large cast of characters, who range from aristocratic members of the British Raj to highborn members of India's upper classes to circus performers and murderous brigands. Nankani is particularly effective as Kaveri Murthy, mathematician, feminist, and intrepid organizer of the amateur detectives club.
