Nelson Hobbs and C.J. Bloom depict the romance between Viggo Bergman and Tallulah Clarke. The pair agree to be roommates in order to achieve their personal goals of opening a bookstore and finishing a thriller, respectively. Hobbs captures Viggo's thoughtful and romantic personality. Viggo's humorous dialogue as delivered by Hobbs contrasts with his internal doubts and fears. Tallulah has a tough exterior, but Bloom's delicate phrasing and soft tone illuminate her vulnerability, especially as she turns to mush upon Viggo's numerous kindnesses. When switching characters, Hobbs voices Tallulah in a lighter voice, and Bloom voices Viggo in a distinctly deeper voice.
