Together they skillfully handle the alternating perspectives, maintaining a rhythm that underscores the novel's exploration of family dynamics, migration, and the world of soccer. Their narration avoids bringing too much attention to the deeper themes of ambition, identity, and the complicated history of international trade and colonialism.
