With its full cast and unflinching depiction of intimate scenes, this audiobook is gripping from the beginning. To start, there's a content warning that should be taken seriously as the story takes listeners through action-packed sex and small-town politics. Abby Craden brings the main character to life as she moves in and out of intimacy with the titular five brothers, indulging their various idiosyncrasies. As each brother is voiced by a different narrator, class, gender, and politics all come into play. While the story can stand alone, it's also a follow-up to Douglas's previous novel, TRYST SIX VENOM. For those who are tired of sweet closed-door romance, this may be a good change of pace. C.F. © AudioFile 2024, Portland, Maine [Published: NOVEMBER 2024]
