When private eyes Bill Smith and Lydia Chin are hired to discover the whereabouts of the son of New York's first female mayor, they soon discover that there is more to the investigation than finding a teenage runaway. Narrator L.J. Ganser is the perfect match to this mystery, which is told from the viewpoint of Bill. Especially strong are Ganser's strong portrayals of Bill and Lydia. His talent for characterization is also highlighted through his portrayal of Madison, the missing teens petulant and spoiled twin sister. He brings her whiny adolescent persona to life with a cringe-worthy authenticity. As the fast-paced plot twists and turns, the listener is glued to the story.
