Andy Stevenson doesn't make a misstep while presenting this compelling and unusual novella. During a delivery, Bob, a well-educated, luckless courier briefly glimpses enchanting Natalie. He imagines her as the desperate "prisoner" of her suave and confident husband. Stevenson conveys Bob's passion and intensity in imagining Natalie--who's also engagingly rendered--as his ideal woman and announcing himself as her savior. His diabolical actions, at once shocking and riveting, include joining a grief support group to meet her. Escalating horror with graphic expressions of love and fury show Stevenson at his finest. This masterful presentation and its stunning conclusion demonstrate once again how audio can have as great an emotional impact as any drama of stage or screen.
