Recently widowed, Jeannie loves her farm, but she is being pressured to sell. Leading the charge is a persistent realtor named Monica, who represents an anonymous buyer. When Monica winds up dead in Jeannie's car, it kicks off a complicated investigation with possible connections to the past and future. However, the narration lacks distinction when it comes to a range of compelling characters, including Derek, a police officer and romantic interest, and a trio of young people who are leasing space on the farm.
