A full cast performs this love letter to home, family, and the power of connection. Over the course of 12 linked stories, each performed by a different narrator, listeners meet the young people who inhabit The Entrada, an apartment building that has been home to countless immigrants who have come to the U.S. seeking to build better lives. From shy Lila, just arrived from Trinidad and longing for familiar comforts, to confident Ro, who wants to honor her Chinese heritage in her own unique way, and to thoughtful Alex who reaches out to a cantankerous neighbor via food, these kids are complex and realistically portrayed. Each narrator takes care to fully inhabit the personality and cultural background of their character, and it's especially fun to hear the previous stories intertwine with new ones.
