Narrator Kyla Garcia delivers a slam dunk in this fun contemporary romance. Annie takes a new job with her college's basketball team, which she left in the dust during her senior year and no one knows why. While she's uneasy about taking the position, her co-worker, charming former classmate and teammate Ben, makes her anxiety even worse. The focus of Garcia's performance is the grudge between Annie and Ben and the mystery of why Annie left the team; both of these are delivered well. Garcia's skill at depicting the buildup between Annie and Ben maintains listeners' curiosity about what happened. Amusing dialogue and dynamic characters make this an intriguing listen.
